1987 is a 2014 Canadian coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Ricardo Trogi. The film is semi-autobiographical, based on Trogi's experiences as a teenager in Quebec City in the year 1987. It focuses on his attempts to lose his virginity and gain social acceptance during his final year of high school. The film explores themes of adolescence, friendship, family, and the awkwardness of growing up. It is the first film in a trilogy, followed by 1991 (2018) and 1995 (2023).
