Tommy Knudsen

Tommy Knudsen (born 30 November 1962 in Esbjerg, Denmark) is a former international speedway rider. He is a five-time Speedway World Team Cup winner with Denmark and a former Speedway World Champion. Knudsen was known for his aggressive riding style and his popularity amongst fans.

Knudsen began his British league career in 1982 with the Ipswich Witches. He also rode for the King's Lynn Stars, Coventry Bees, and Reading Racers during his career in the UK. He consistently achieved high averages and was a major force in British speedway for many years.

His greatest individual achievement came in 1991 when he won the Speedway World Final at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. He also finished second in the 1990 World Final and third in the 1989 World Final.

Knudsen retired from speedway in 2002. He remains a popular figure in the sport and is often seen at speedway events.
