John Wilkinson (Australian politician)
John Wilkinson (born August 28, 1932, died April 23, 2012) was an Australian politician. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Queensland Parliament, representing the electorate of Albert from 1983 to 1992. He was a member of the National Party of Australia.
Wilkinson was born in Brisbane, Queensland. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a farmer and businessman. He was heavily involved in local community affairs before entering state politics.
During his time in Parliament, Wilkinson served on various committees and was a vocal advocate for his constituents in the Albert electorate, focusing particularly on issues related to agriculture, infrastructure development, and local government. He retired from politics at the 1992 Queensland state election.
Following his retirement from politics, Wilkinson remained active in his local community. He passed away in 2012.
