Goliath (Walibi Holland)
Goliath is a steel hypercoaster located at Walibi Holland in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands. Opened in 2002, it was built by Intamin and was, at the time of its debut, the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the Benelux region.
The coaster is characterized by its large scale and emphasis on airtime. Its layout includes a 46-meter (151 ft) first drop angled at 85 degrees, a large overbanked curve, a camelback hill offering significant airtime, a Stengel dive, a downward helix, and several additional airtime hills. The ride experience is known for its smooth ride quality and high speeds reaching up to 106 km/h (66 mph).
Goliath is a major attraction at Walibi Holland, contributing to the park's reputation as a thrill ride destination. It is typically ranked as one of the top steel roller coasters in Europe. The name "Goliath" alludes to the Biblical figure known for his immense size and power, reflecting the coaster's stature and intensity. The coaster operates with two trains, each accommodating up to 32 riders.
