Fellhorn

The Fellhorn is a mountain in the Allgäu Alps, located on the border between Germany (Bavaria) and Austria. It is a popular destination for hiking and skiing, particularly known for its extensive ski area that is connected to the Kanzelwand mountain on the Austrian side, forming a cross-border ski resort.

The Fellhorn's summit reaches an elevation of approximately 2,038 meters (6,686 feet). It is characterized by its relatively rounded shape, a typical feature of the Allgäu Alps.

The mountain can be accessed by a cable car from the German town of Oberstdorf. In the summer months, hiking trails of varying difficulty levels crisscross the area, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. During the winter, the Fellhorn ski area provides numerous slopes for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels.

The area around the Fellhorn is also known for its diverse flora and fauna, with various alpine flowers and wildlife species inhabiting the region. Conservation efforts are in place to protect the natural environment of the Fellhorn and its surroundings.
