Farmers Bank Building (Pittsburgh)

The Farmers Bank Building, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was a prominent skyscraper completed in 1902. Designed by architect Grosvenor Atterbury, the building stood at 24 stories and was notable for its steel-frame construction clad in brick and terra cotta. It served as the headquarters for the Farmers Deposit National Bank, a significant financial institution in the city's history. The building's design reflected the architectural styles of the era, incorporating elements of Beaux-Arts and early skyscraper aesthetics. Its height made it a recognizable landmark in the Pittsburgh skyline for many years. The Farmers Bank Building was eventually demolished in 1997.
