Endla (organization)
Endla is a professional theatre located in Pärnu, Estonia. Founded in 1911, it is one of the oldest continuously operating theatres in Estonia.
Endla's mission is to produce and present high-quality theatrical performances that reflect Estonian culture and society, as well as explore universal human themes. Its repertoire includes a wide range of genres, from classic drama and comedy to contemporary plays and musicals. The theatre also provides educational programs for children and adults, aiming to foster an appreciation for the performing arts.
The theatre building itself has a rich history. The original building, constructed in 1911, was destroyed during World War II. The current building was completed in 1967 and features a large main stage, a smaller studio stage, and various workshops and rehearsal spaces.
Endla plays a significant role in the cultural life of Pärnu and Estonia. It attracts audiences from across the country and has a long tradition of artistic excellence. The theatre employs a resident company of actors, directors, and designers, and also collaborates with guest artists from Estonia and abroad.
