Diego Pérez (tennis)

Diego Pérez (born February 8, 1962) is a former professional tennis player from Uruguay. He competed primarily in doubles, achieving considerable success on the ATP Tour.

Pérez turned professional in 1982 and reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 27 in September 1985. His best Grand Slam singles result was reaching the fourth round of the 1984 French Open.

However, Pérez found greater success in doubles. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 9 in January 1991. He won six ATP Tour doubles titles, partnering with various players, including Leonardo Lavalle, Gustavo Luza, and Christian Miniussi.

Pérez represented Uruguay in Davis Cup for many years, playing in both singles and doubles matches. He was a consistent performer for his national team and played a significant role in their Davis Cup campaigns.
