Bystrino

Bystrino is a Bulgarian village located in the municipality of Silistra, in the Silistra Province, northeastern Bulgaria.

The village is situated in the Danube Plain, approximately 12 kilometers southeast of the city of Silistra. Its altitude is around 120 meters above sea level. The climate is continental, characterized by hot summers and cold winters.

The population of Bystrino is primarily engaged in agriculture, with the cultivation of cereals, vegetables, and fruit being the main economic activities. Animal husbandry is also practiced to a lesser extent.

Historically, the village has been inhabited since ancient times, with traces of Roman and early Byzantine settlements found in the area. During the Ottoman period, the village was known by various names. After the Liberation of Bulgaria in 1878, Bystrino became part of the Bulgarian state.

The village has a community center, a primary school, and a church. Local celebrations and traditions are preserved and practiced by the residents.
