Buck (crater)

Buck is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the northeast of the huge walled plain Oppenheimer, and southeast of the crater Hess.

Buck is a relatively small crater with a roughly circular rim that has been moderately eroded. A small crater lies across the southern rim, and several other tiny craterlets mark the sides. The interior floor is somewhat uneven, but is otherwise relatively featureless.

The crater is named after American physicist Robert H. Buck.
