Adam Hieronim Sieniawski (1576–1616)
Adam Hieronim Sieniawski (1576 – 1616) was a Polish nobleman (szlachcic), magnate, politician, and military commander. He held numerous important state offices throughout his life.
Born into the powerful Sieniawski family, he was the son of Hieronim Sieniawski, voivode of Kraków, and Anna Woyna. His family wielded significant influence in Polish politics and possessed vast landholdings.
Sieniawski held several prominent positions during his career. He served as a castellan of Halych from 1595, and subsequently became voivode of Bełz in 1603, voivode of Ruthenia in 1605, and castellan of Kraków from 1614. These positions placed him at the heart of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth's political and administrative structures.
He was also actively involved in military affairs. He participated in various campaigns and military engagements, contributing to the defense of the Commonwealth against external threats. His military experience and noble lineage made him a respected figure within the Polish military establishment.
Adam Hieronim Sieniawski was married to Katarzyna Kostka. His death in 1616 marked the end of an influential figure in Polish politics and military affairs. He left behind a legacy of service to the Commonwealth and continued his family's prominent role in Polish history.
