USS Case

The USS Case (DD-370) was a Mahan-class destroyer in the United States Navy during World War II. Commissioned in 1936, she served extensively in the Pacific Theater, participating in numerous major campaigns and battles.

The Case's early wartime service included escort duties and patrols. She played a significant role in the Guadalcanal Campaign, providing gunfire support for Marines ashore and engaging Japanese naval forces. She also participated in the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands.
