Devil's Knot (film)

Devil's Knot is a 2013 American biographical crime drama film directed by Atom Egoyan, based on the 2002 true crime book of the same name by Mara Leveritt. The film revolves around the controversial trials of the West Memphis Three, three teenagers accused of the 1993 murders of three young boys in West Memphis, Arkansas.

The plot follows the initial investigation, the hasty arrests of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley Jr., and the subsequent trials that resulted in their convictions. Reese Witherspoon stars as Pam Hobbs, the mother of one of the murdered boys, Steve Branch.
