Zoo World

Zoo World was a series of now-defunct social network game franchises developed by Crowdstar. The original Zoo World was a Flash-based game launched on Facebook in 2008. Players managed and expanded their own virtual zoos, caring for animals, decorating exhibits, and interacting with friends. The game focused on collecting different animal breeds and fulfilling visitor needs.

Zoo World 2 was released as a separate Facebook application, offering updated graphics and gameplay compared to the original. It retained the core elements of managing a zoo but introduced new features and animals. Like its predecessor, Zoo World 2 eventually shut down.

Crowdstar was later acquired by Glu Mobile. Glu Mobile eventually discontinued support for both Zoo World and Zoo World 2, and the games are no longer playable.

Despite their closure, the Zoo World games were popular during their time and contributed to the rise of social network gaming. They are remembered for their accessible gameplay, collectable animals, and social interaction features.

A related mobile game, Zoo World: Build a Wild World, was published by Zynga in 2012 but is also no longer available. This game shared the zoo management theme but was developed and operated independently of Crowdstar's Zoo World games.
