Zelzal-3

The Zelzal-3 is an Iranian solid-propellant, single-stage, surface-to-surface rocket. It is considered a long-range artillery rocket system, rather than a true ballistic missile by some analysts, due to its relatively short range and lower accuracy compared to dedicated missile designs.

The Zelzal-3 is believed to be an upgrade of the Zelzal-2, with increased range. It has a reported range of approximately 200-250 kilometers, and a payload capacity of around 600 kilograms. It utilizes inertial guidance and is typically launched from a mobile launcher.

Development and production of the Zelzal-3 are attributed to Iran's Aerospace Industries Organization. It has been displayed in military parades and is considered a part of Iran's conventional missile arsenal. The missile has also been reportedly transferred to and utilized by Iranian-backed groups in the Middle East. Its export is subject to international scrutiny and sanctions.
