Walt Williams (athlete)
Walt Williams (born April 16, 1970) is a former American professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 11 seasons.
Born in Washington, D.C., Williams played college basketball at the University of Maryland. He was selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 7th overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft.
Williams played for several NBA teams, including the Sacramento Kings, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks. A shooting guard and small forward, he was known for his scoring ability and three-point shooting. He retired from the NBA in 2003.
After his playing career, Williams pursued various business ventures and remained involved in basketball through youth coaching and community outreach programs.
