Viktor (wrestler)

Viktor (born August 4, 1980) is the ring name of Eric Thompson, a Canadian professional wrestler. He is best known for his time in WWE, where he performed under the name Viktor as one-half of the tag team The Ascension, along with Konnor.

Prior to WWE, Thompson wrestled extensively on the independent circuit under various names, including Apocalypse and Pain. He competed in promotions such as All Star Wrestling, ECCW, and NWA.

In 2011, Thompson signed with WWE and was assigned to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). He debuted as Rick Victor and later changed his name to Viktor. As Viktor, he formed The Ascension with Kenneth Cameron (later Konnor). The Ascension dominated NXT's tag team division, holding the NXT Tag Team Championship for a record 343 days.

In December 2014, The Ascension debuted on the main WWE roster. While initially presented as a dominant force, they struggled to maintain their momentum and were often used in comedic or enhancement roles. Viktor was released from WWE in December 2019.
