Trigger (guitar)

Trigger is the nickname given to Willie Nelson's Martin N-20 Classical guitar. Purchased in 1969 for $750 from a shop in Nashville, Tennessee, Trigger is famous for its well-worn appearance, characterized by a large hole worn into the body near the bridge, countless autographs, and overall significant wear and tear from decades of use.

The hole developed over time as Nelson's energetic strumming wore away the wood. Rather than replace the guitar, Nelson embraced its unique character, viewing it as an integral part of his sound.
