Tony Bove
Tony Bove is an American author, publisher, and technology journalist. He is known for his contributions to the early personal computer revolution, particularly in the area of desktop publishing.
Bove co-founded Desktop Publishing (DTP) magazine with Cheryl Rhodes in 1986. DTP magazine became a leading publication in the field, providing information and insights on software and hardware for page layout, graphic design, and typography.
Prior to Desktop Publishing magazine, Bove and Rhodes published the newsletter Bove and Rhodes Inside Report on Desktop Publishing and Typesetting.
Bove has authored and co-authored numerous books on computer topics, including books on HyperCard, Ventura Publisher, and desktop publishing generally. He has also written extensively for various technology publications. His work helped to popularize and demystify desktop publishing technology for a wider audience.
Beyond his work in publishing and writing, Bove has also been involved in software development and consulting related to digital publishing workflows.
