Tomy Lee
Tomy Lee (born October 3, 1962) is an American musician and founding member of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. He is primarily known as the band's drummer and for his flamboyant stage presence and innovative drumming techniques.
Lee was born Thomas Bass in Athens, Greece. He and his family later moved to California. He received his first drum set at age four. He formed Mötley Crüe in 1981 with bassist Nikki Sixx. The band achieved considerable success throughout the 1980s with albums such as Shout at the Devil, Theatre of Pain, and Dr. Feelgood.
Beyond Mötley Crüe, Lee has pursued numerous solo and collaborative projects. These include his rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem, as well as solo albums such as Never a Dull Moment and Andro. He has also appeared in reality television shows and films.
Lee's personal life has frequently been the subject of media attention, particularly his marriage to actress Pamela Anderson in the 1990s and subsequent controversies.
