Thomas Hunter (actor)
Thomas Hunter (1932-2004) was an American actor, screenwriter, and film director. Born in Savannah, Georgia, Hunter was best known for his roles in Spaghetti Westerns and other European genre films of the 1960s and 1970s.
Hunter began his acting career in the United States, appearing on television shows such as Gunsmoke and Bonanza. He moved to Europe in the early 1960s, where he found greater success. His notable film credits include The Magnificent Texan (1964), Death Walks at Midnight (1972), and Challenge to White Fang (1974). He often played tough, stoic characters.
In addition to acting, Hunter also wrote and directed films, including The Final Executioner (1984), also known as Death Commando. He also wrote the screenplay for China 9, Liberty 37 (1978).
Later in his career, Hunter continued to work in both American and European productions. He passed away in Norwalk, Connecticut in 2004.
