The Bay (TV series)

The Bay is a British crime drama television series, initially broadcast on ITV in the United Kingdom. Set in Morecambe, Lancashire, the series follows the work of the Morecambe CID, focusing particularly on a Detective Sergeant Family Liaison Officer (FLO) and the investigations into serious crimes, often involving missing persons and murder.

The first two series starred Morven Christie as DS Lisa Armstrong, the FLO whose personal life often becomes entangled with the cases she is working on. Series 3 saw a change in lead, with Marsha Thomason taking over the role of DS Jenn Townsend.

The series is known for its scenic location, gritty realism, and exploration of the impact of crime on families and the community.
