Tenggaroh (federal constituency)
Tenggaroh is a federal constituency in Johor, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat (the lower house of the Malaysian Parliament) since 2004.
It was created in the 2003 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to Parliament using the first-past-the-post voting system.
The constituency is located within the Mersing district of Johor. It contains areas largely comprised of agricultural land and small towns.
The seat's electoral roll is primarily composed of Malay voters, with smaller percentages of Chinese and Indian voters.
Historically, Tenggaroh has been a stronghold for the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, specifically the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) party. However, recent elections have seen increased competition from opposition parties.
Key socio-economic factors affecting the constituency include issues related to agricultural development, infrastructure improvements, and access to healthcare and education.
