Ted Leo
Ted Leo (born September 11, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his highly literate and often politically charged lyrics, his energetic live performances, and his diverse musical influences, incorporating elements of punk rock, indie rock, folk, and ska.
Leo rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as the frontman of the band Chisel, before embarking on a solo career. He has released numerous albums under his own name, most notably with the backing band The Pharmacists. His solo work frequently features introspective and observational lyrics addressing themes of social justice, personal struggles, and the complexities of modern life.
