Sulz (Altmühl)

The Sulz is a river in Bavaria, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Altmühl. The Sulz rises near Freystadt and flows generally south through the Franconian Jura. It joins the Altmühl in Beilngries. The length of the Sulz is approximately 33 kilometers. The river flows through a scenic valley, popular for hiking and cycling. The Sulz valley is also known for its geological formations and diverse flora and fauna.
