Spear (film)
Spear is a 2015 Australian dance film directed by Stephen Page. It is an adaptation of the Bangarra Dance Theatre's stage show of the same name. The film explores the journey of a young Aboriginal man, Djali, as he navigates his cultural identity in modern urban Australia. The ensemble cast features dancers from the Bangarra Dance Theatre, including Hunter Page-Lochard in the lead role. Spear premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015 and has been screened at numerous film festivals internationally.
