Somos (band)

Somos is an American rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 2012. The band consists of Michael Fiorentino (vocals/guitar), Phil Haggerty (guitar), Justin Hahn (bass), and Andy Medica (drums).

Somos is known for its blend of indie rock, pop-punk, and emo influences, characterized by introspective lyrics, melodic guitar work, and dynamic song structures. They are often associated with the "emo revival" scene of the early 2010s.

The band released their debut album, Temple of Leaves, in 2014 on Hopeless Records. This album garnered attention for its emotionally resonant lyrics and catchy melodies. Their second album, First Day Back, followed in 2016, further developing their sound and exploring themes of personal growth and reflection. In 2019, Somos released their third and final album, Prison on a Hill.

Somos announced their indefinite hiatus in 2019 following the release of Prison on a Hill. While the band has not officially disbanded, they are not currently active.
