Sky Larkin

Sky Larkin was a British indie rock band formed in Leeds, England, in 2005. The band consisted primarily of Katie Harkin (vocals, guitar), Doug Adams (bass), and Nestor Matthews (drums).

Sky Larkin was known for its energetic live performances and its distinctive indie rock sound, characterized by angular guitar riffs, Katie Harkin's distinctive vocals, and intelligent, often introspective lyrics. The band's sound drew comparisons to bands like Sleater-Kinney and Bloc Party.

Sky Larkin released three studio albums: The Golden Spike (2009), Kaleide (2010), and Motto (2013). They also released several EPs and singles. The band toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and the United States, playing at numerous festivals and venues.

In 2014, Sky Larkin announced an indefinite hiatus. Since the band's hiatus, Katie Harkin has worked as a session musician and touring guitarist for artists such as Sleater-Kinney, Courtney Barnett, and Kurt Vile. Doug Adams has continued to work in music production. Nestor Matthews has also remained active in the music scene. While Sky Larkin has not officially disbanded, they have not released any new material or performed live since 2014.
