Seyssuel

Seyssuel is a French wine appellation located in the Rhône Valley, specifically north of Vienne. It is situated on the right bank (east) of the Rhône River. Seyssuel wines are primarily red, made predominantly from the Syrah grape, often co-fermented with small amounts of Viognier. The appellation is known for producing wines with intense fruit, floral aromatics, and elegant structure, reflecting the schist-based soils and the northern Rhône climate. The production area is relatively small, and the wines from Seyssuel are often highly sought after. While historically part of the Côtes du Rhône, efforts have been made to establish Seyssuel as its own recognized Cru.
