Seán Lynch (politician)

Seán Lynch (born 1954) is an Irish Sinn Féin politician. He was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency in Northern Ireland from 2007 to 2017.

Lynch's background is as a republican activist. He served time in prison during the Troubles. Before entering electoral politics, he was heavily involved in Sinn Féin's support network for republican prisoners and their families.

He first contested the Fermanagh and South Tyrone constituency in the 2003 Assembly election but was not elected. He was subsequently elected in the 2007 election and re-elected in the 2011 and 2016 elections.

During his time in the Assembly, Lynch served on various committees and spoke on issues relevant to his constituency and the wider republican community. He did not seek re-election in the 2017 Assembly election.
