Scribe (rapper)

Scribe, born Malo Luafutu, is a New Zealand hip hop artist and rapper. He is best known for his early 2000s singles "Not Many (The Remix!)" featuring Savage, "Stand Up," and "Dreaming."

Scribe rose to prominence with his distinctive flow, lyrical content often reflecting social issues and personal experiences, and his energetic stage presence. His debut album, The Crusader, released in 2003, achieved considerable commercial success in New Zealand, reaching multi-platinum status. It is considered a landmark album in New Zealand hip hop history.

Following the success of The Crusader, Scribe released further albums including Rhyme Book (2007) and Say It Again (2009). While maintaining a presence in the music scene, his later career was marked by personal struggles and challenges that were publicly documented. He has remained an influential figure in New Zealand hip hop, inspiring a new generation of artists.
