San Jacinto High School (Houston)

San Jacinto High School was a public secondary school located in Houston, Texas. It operated from 1926 to 1983, serving as a significant educational institution in the city's history. The school was part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD). Its building was noted for its distinctive architecture and played a role in the surrounding community for many years. San Jacinto High School was eventually closed due to declining enrollment and consolidated with other HISD schools. The original building was demolished and replaced with a new facility used for other HISD purposes. Graduates and former students are still occasionally active in alumni associations.
