Sam Barnes (footballer, born 2001)

Sam Barnes (born 18 June 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Hereford.

Career

Barnes began his career with Blackburn Rovers, progressing through their academy system. He signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2019. He spent time on loan at Telford United and Scunthorpe United to gain first team experience. He was released by Blackburn Rovers in the summer of 2024.

He joined Hereford in July 2024.
