Rick Stoner

Rick Stoner (born c. 1950) is an American mechanical engineer and firearms designer. He is best known for his contributions to the AR-15 platform, specifically his work at Knight's Armament Company (KAC) and his development of the Stoner Rifle-25 (SR-25), a semi-automatic sniper rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO.

While often associated with Eugene Stoner, designer of the original AR-15, Rick Stoner's work is distinct. His SR-25 design incorporated improvements over the AR-10/AR-15 platform, focusing on accuracy and reliability in a larger caliber. This rifle has seen extensive use by military and law enforcement agencies worldwide.

Stoner's contributions also extend to other firearms and firearm accessories designed and produced by KAC. He played a significant role in the development of various mounting systems and accessories intended to improve the functionality and modularity of firearms. His work has helped to shape modern firearm design and technology.
