Raymond Collins (priest)
Raymond F. Collins (born 1934, died 2018) was an American Roman Catholic priest, biblical scholar, and author. He specialized in New Testament studies, particularly the Pauline epistles and the Book of Revelation.
Collins served as a professor of New Testament at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. for many years, and later at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He held the rank of Ordinary Professor Emeritus at Catholic University.
His scholarship was characterized by a meticulous attention to the original Greek text and a thorough engagement with historical and literary critical methods.
