Quatro (album)
Quatro is the second studio album by American rock singer Suzi Quatro, released in October 1974 by Rak Records in most territories, and by Bell Records in the United States and Canada.
The album followed Quatro's self-titled debut and saw her continue to develop her glam rock and hard rock sound. Quatro achieved greater commercial success than her first album, particularly in Europe and Australia. Several singles were released from the album, including "Devil Gate Drive," which became one of Quatro's signature songs and a significant hit, reaching number one in the UK and Australia. Other notable tracks include "The Wild One" and "Too Big."
The album was produced by Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn, who also wrote most of the songs. Quatro is considered a defining album in Suzi Quatro's career, solidifying her status as a prominent female figure in rock music during the 1970s. It is generally regarded as one of her strongest and most consistent studio efforts.
