Peter Hermann (actor)

Peter Hermann (born August 15, 1967) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Charles Brooks on the television series Younger.

Hermann was born in New York City, to German parents. He spent his early childhood in Germany before returning to the United States. He is fluent in both English and German. He graduated from Yale University.

His television credits include recurring roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Blue Bloods, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. He has also appeared in episodes of 30 Rock, Royal Pains, and The Good Wife. His film credits include United 93 and Edge of Tomorrow.

Hermann is married to actress Mariska Hargitay, who stars on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. They have three children.
