Omar Pérez (Argentine footballer)

Omar Sebastián Pérez Marcos (born March 29, 1981) is an Argentine former professional footballer who primarily played as an attacking midfielder.

Career:

Pérez began his professional career in Argentina with Boca Juniors in 1999, winning the Copa Libertadores in 2000 and 2001. He then played for Banfield.

He later moved to Colombia, where he became a prominent figure in Colombian football. He had spells with Junior de Barranquilla and Independiente Medellín.

His most significant and celebrated period was with Independiente Santa Fe, where he became a club legend. He joined Santa Fe in 2009 and remained with the club for several years, captaining the team and leading them to numerous titles, including the Copa Sudamericana in 2015. He is considered one of the most influential players in Santa Fe's history.

After leaving Santa Fe, Pérez played for Patriotas Boyacá.
