OfficeMax

OfficeMax was an American office supplies retailer founded in 1988. It provided a range of products including paper, ink, toner, technology, furniture, and other business essentials. OfficeMax also offered printing and document services.

The company operated through a network of retail stores as well as an online platform. Throughout its history, OfficeMax competed with other major retailers in the office supply industry, such as Staples and Office Depot.

In 2013, OfficeMax merged with Office Depot in an all-stock deal. Following the merger, the OfficeMax brand gradually transitioned into Office Depot. While some store locations initially retained the OfficeMax branding, over time they were converted to the Office Depot brand. The OfficeMax website also redirected to the Office Depot website. As of the early 2020s, the OfficeMax retail brand was largely phased out, and the company primarily operated under the Office Depot name. The former OfficeMax headquarters in Naperville, Illinois, became a major Office Depot facility.
