Nové Butovice (Prague Metro)
Nové Butovice is a station on Line B of the Prague Metro in the Czech Republic. It is located in the Nové Butovice district of Prague 5.
The station was opened on 26 October 1988 as part of the IV.B section of Line B, extending the line from Smíchovské nádraží to Dukelská (now Nové Butovice). Originally named Dukelská, it was renamed Nové Butovice in 1990.
The station is a deep-level, pillar-supported station with a single vestibule. It is located under the shopping and administrative center of Nové Butovice. The surrounding area is a densely populated residential area with numerous apartment blocks.
Nové Butovice serves as a major transport hub, with connections to numerous bus lines serving the surrounding areas. It is a busy station, particularly during peak hours.
