Nick Thompson (sailor)

Nick Thompson (born 10 May 1986) is a British sailor specializing in the Laser class.

Thompson competed for Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the Laser class, finishing 6th. He had previously served as a training partner and reserve for Paul Goodison at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

Thompson's career highlights include winning the 2015 Laser World Championships in Kingston, Ontario. He also won the European Championships in 2014 and secured several podium finishes in major international regattas throughout his career. He retired from Olympic sailing after the 2016 Games.
