Michael Rubin is an American author and scholar specializing in Middle Eastern affairs, particularly Iranian and Turkish politics, and counterterrorism. He is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a conservative think tank based in Washington, D.C.

Rubin's work often focuses on the internal dynamics of Middle Eastern regimes, the potential for democratic reform in the region, and the challenges posed by extremist groups. He is a frequent commentator on television and in print media, offering analysis on current events in the Middle East.
