Margaret Gurney (artist)

Margaret Gurney (1902-1982) was a British painter and printmaker, known primarily for her landscapes, portraits, and flower paintings. She was a member of the Society of Wood Engravers and exhibited widely throughout her career, including at the Royal Academy, the New English Art Club, and the Women's International Art Club.

Gurney studied at the Central School of Art in London, where she was taught by Noel Rooke and Bernard Meninsky. Her early work was influenced by the post-impressionist style. She worked in various mediums, including oils, watercolors, and wood engraving, demonstrating versatility and skill across different artistic disciplines.
