Malcolm MacDonald (Canadian politician)
Malcolm MacDonald (born August 12, 1929, died January 3, 2019) was a Canadian politician from Alberta. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of Canada from 1979 to 1980, representing the riding of Edmonton South.
MacDonald was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party. He defeated incumbent Liberal MP Uriel Archibald in the 1979 federal election. His time in Parliament was brief, as he lost his seat in the 1980 election to Liberal candidate Bill Yurko.
Prior to entering federal politics, MacDonald had a career in business. Following his term as MP, he returned to private life. He was involved in various community activities throughout his life.
