Madame (singer)

Madame is the stage name of Francesca Calearo (born 16 January 2002), an Italian rapper and singer-songwriter. She rose to prominence in the late 2010s, gaining recognition for her distinctive voice, introspective lyrics, and versatile musical style which blends elements of rap, trap, and contemporary pop.

Madame first garnered attention with her early singles released on SoundCloud. She officially debuted in 2018 with the single "Anna," followed by "Sciccherie." Her breakthrough came in 2019 with the single "17," which went platinum in Italy.

In 2021, Madame participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Voce," earning the Premio Lunezia for its lyrics. Her debut album, simply titled Madame, was released in the same year and achieved significant commercial success in Italy, topping the charts. The album explored themes of youth, identity, and societal issues.

She returned to the Sanremo Music Festival in 2023 with the song "Il bene nel male." Her music is characterized by its raw emotionality and social commentary, often addressing themes such as mental health, relationships, and the challenges of adolescence.
