Lola LC91

The Lola LC91 was a Formula One car designed and built by the Lola Racing Cars team for the 1991 Formula One season. It was driven by Éric Bernard and Aguri Suzuki, and powered by a Lamborghini 3512 V12 engine.

The car was beset by numerous technical problems throughout the season, including issues with its handling, reliability, and engine performance. The Lamborghini engine, while powerful, was also known for its unreliability. The LC91 struggled to be competitive, often failing to qualify for races.

Despite the inherent limitations of the car, both Bernard and Suzuki managed to achieve occasional glimpses of potential. Bernard achieved the team's best result of the season, finishing 13th at the Mexican Grand Prix. Suzuki achieved a few finishes just outside the points.

Ultimately, the Lola LC91 was not a successful Formula One car. The team struggled financially and technically, and the season proved to be the last for Lola in Formula One as a constructor. The Lola LC91 is remembered as a car with potential that was ultimately unrealized due to a combination of technical problems and financial constraints.
