Lois Quam

Lois Quam is an American healthcare executive and diplomat. She is known for her work in expanding access to healthcare, particularly for underserved populations, and for her leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.

Quam served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs at the U.S. Department of State during the Obama administration. In this role, she led efforts to advance global health security and diplomacy, including responding to emerging infectious disease threats. She also oversaw U.S. engagement with international organizations on health issues.

Prior to her government service, Quam held executive positions at UnitedHealth Group, including serving as CEO of UnitedHealthcare Global.
