Living Eyes (Bee Gees album)

Living Eyes is the Bee Gees' sixteenth original album, released in 1981. It marked a shift in the group's sound away from the disco-oriented style that had defined their work in the late 1970s and towards a more adult contemporary pop sound. While the album achieved moderate success, particularly in Europe, it did not reach the same level of commercial heights as their previous records, such as Saturday Night Fever and Spirits Having Flown.

The album's title track, "Living Eyes," was released as a single and became a minor hit. Other singles included "He's a Liar" and "Paradise." Living Eyes is characterized by its more polished production and emphasis on vocal harmonies, which remained a signature element of the Bee Gees' music. The album is generally considered a transitional work in the Bee Gees' discography, bridging their disco era with their later pop endeavors. Critical reception at the time was mixed, with some praising the group's musicianship and others criticizing the perceived lack of innovation compared to their earlier work.
