Korg M3

The Korg M3 is a music workstation synthesizer produced by Korg, released in 2007. It builds upon the architecture of the Korg OASYS, incorporating much of its sound engine technology into a more compact and affordable package. Key features include Korg's Enhanced Definition Synthesis (EDS) sound engine, which provides a wide range of sounds from acoustic instruments to synthesized textures.

The M3 is characterized by its touch-screen interface, which allows for direct manipulation of parameters and navigation through menus. It also features a vector joystick for real-time control of sound characteristics, a feature previously seen on Korg's Wavestation synthesizer.

The instrument utilizes Korg's "KARMA" (Kay Algorithmic Real-time Music Architecture) technology, allowing for the creation of complex and evolving rhythmic patterns and textures. This feature allows the user to generate intricate musical arrangements with relatively simple input.

The Korg M3 is a sampler, synthesizer, and sequencer all-in-one. It offers a wide variety of connectivity options, including MIDI and USB, for integration with other musical instruments and computer-based music production software. It was available in 61-key, 73-key, and 88-key configurations. The M3 expanded upon Korg’s workstation legacy, offering a comprehensive platform for music creation, production, and performance.
