Kasmir (singer)

Kashmir is the stage name of Kasper Eistrup (born April 4, 1975), a Danish singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is best known as the frontman of the Danish alternative rock band of the same name, Kashmir.

Eistrup co-founded Kashmir in 1991 with Mads Tunebjerg, Asger Techau, and Henrik Lindstrand. Throughout his career with Kashmir, Eistrup has been the band's primary lyricist and a key composer. His songwriting often explores themes of personal reflection, societal commentary, and existentialism.

In addition to his work with Kashmir, Eistrup has also pursued solo endeavors, including visual art. He is a painter and has exhibited his artwork.

Kashmir's music, largely shaped by Eistrup's creative vision, has been influential in the Danish music scene, earning them numerous awards and critical acclaim. He remains an active figure in Danish music.
